IronhordeLighting UPDATED FOR DAYZ v1.30 - BADLANDS / NASDARA IMPORTANT! DayZ currently has a lighting bug (since many years back), that Bohemia Interactive (the developers) knows about. It's been documented and reported numerous times, and they have it in their list of things to fix, and have said that there is a patch coming for it in the future. The bug itself makes lights flicker when placing more than 3-4 lights in a closed space, as well as not all emitters being visible at the same time, depending on distance. When that is fixed, this mod will be updated to be even more advanced. Description IronhordeLighting is a custom DayZ lighting and ambience mod that adds a large library of placeable light sources, atmospheric effects, warning beacons, searchlights, flicker lights, environmental heat/fire props, and LED strip variants for mapping, base design, bunkers, industrial zones, and custom scenes. The mod is built around configurable lighting behavior, letting server owners tune brightness, color, radius, beam behavior, pulse/flicker patterns, and other light properties from the config instead of being locked into a single hardcoded look. EVERY light can be configured independently, with a lot of settings! I have taken some inspiration from other games and mods, but everything has been done from scratch. Updates: v1.9 2026-10-15 1) Updated to DayZ 1.30 Badlands/Nasdara 2) Fixed the walltorch to have better light castoff around it Tips & Tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw8fAZiNV2g Configuration The mod creates a profile config file at: profiles\IronhordeLighting\ironhordelighting.json That file contains entries for supported light assets, allowing admins to adjust behavior without editing scripts. Depending on the light type, configurable values include: - brightness - color - radius / fade radius - beam length - rotation speed - beam width / pitch - pulse and strobe behavior - flicker behavior - ambient color contribution - RGB cycle speed for RGB LED strips This makes it possible to fine-tune the entire lighting package to fit different server styles, from dark survival ambience to brighter cinematic or roleplay-heavy setups. IMPORTANT LINE IN THE CONFIG FILE - lightingconfig: 0 = normal configured brightness - lightingconfig: 1 = boosted brightness mode In the current setup, lightingconfig: 1 applies a 3.0x brightness multiplier, which is useful for servers that want stronger visibility from the same placed light assets without having to rebalance every individual entry by hand. Use the same as you have in your serverDZ.cfg, unless you want to tweak it on purpose. The config file will be created on first server start. Feature Highlights - Large library of custom placeable lights and effects - Industrial, civilian, warning, and atmospheric lighting options - Police/Ambulance strobe lights in various colors and strobe configurations - Rotating beacons and lighthouse beams - Static, rotating, and slow-sweep searchlights - Fluorescent flicker light variants - Campfire and burning-body heat/effect props - Candle and firefly ambience props - LED strips in multiple sizes and colors - RGB LED strip variants with synchronized color cycling - Server-side config generation for lights - Global lightingconfig 0/1 brightness mode - DayZ Editor-friendly categorization for placement Usage -mod=@IronhordeLighting Contribute: Got an idea for a new light? Want a more custom one? Something else? Pop in and tell me in the mod support channel, and I'll do my darndest to fix it. modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 23 live servers in the crawl publish it.

The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
