Thermal and AI Scopes

DMT FLIR Rangefinder DMT FLIR Rangefinder adds a set of powered thermal and AI-assisted optics to DayZ, using familiar vanilla scope models so they fit naturally into the game world while giving server owners some much stronger surveillance tools to play with. This is an early release so expect some potential hiccups, if you experience issues please write to me on my discord listed below. The mod has two main optic systems: FLIR Optics FLIR optics give you a purple thermal-style view through the scope and highlight living targets with hot orange silhouettes. These are designed to feel like enhanced thermal optics: useful for spotting players, infected, and animals, but still closer to a believable field tool than full admin vision. FLIR variants include the Rangefinder, Starlight, Kazuar, Hunting Scope, ACOG, and ACOG 6x. AI Optics AI optics are the powerful version. These use a darker high-contrast display and paint living targets as bright white silhouettes, including through cover, vehicles, and other obstacles. They are intentionally not balanced like normal loot and are better suited for admins, events, VIP gear, or special server roles. AI variants include the Rangefinder, Starlight, Kazuar, Hunting Scope, ACOG, and ACOG 6x. What To Expect The optics reuse vanilla models, mounting slots, zoom behavior, and general handling, so they should feel familiar on compatible weapons. Powered optic versions require a 9V battery where appropriate, matching the mod’s FLIR/AI behavior without replacing the standard vanilla scopes.
