NoobChat A clean, multi-channel chat for DayZ — Global, Local and Admin — with player @mentions, a quieter screen and no more accidental hotkeys while you type. NoobChat replaces the bare vanilla chat with a proper communication system: talk to the whole server, only to people nearby, or on a private admin channel — switch between them with a single key. Call someone out with @theirname and they get a sound and a highlighted line, wherever they are on the map. Features Three chat channels — Global (whole server), Local (only players within range) and Admin (staff-only), each in its own color. One-key channel switch — press Z to cycle channels before you open the chat. No menus. Player @mentions — type @PlayerName in your message. The mentioned player hears a ping sound and sees the line highlighted in gold, even if they are far away or on another channel. Quieter screen — chat lines fade out faster than vanilla, so old messages stop cluttering your view during a firefight. No more accidental hotkeys — while the chat box is open, your gameplay keybinds are locked, so typing a message never triggers an action from another mod. Local proximity chat — Local messages only reach players inside a configurable radius, perfect for roleplay and immersive servers. Admin channel — a private channel only visible to staff listed in the config, by Steam ID. Built-in word filter — mask unwanted words automatically; the banned list is fully configurable. Anti-spam rate limit — a per-player cooldown keeps the chat readable. Chat logging — every message is written to a dated log file on the server for moderation. Controls Action Key What it does Open chat Enter (or Numpad Enter) Opens the chat input box. Switch channel Z Cycles Global → Local → Admin (Admin only shows for staff). Send Enter Sends the message on the current channel. Mention a player type @Name Pings that player with a sound and a highlighted line. The Switch Channel key is rebindable from the in-game Controls menu (look for "NoobChat: Switch Channel"). Channel colors Channel Color Who sees it Global Green Everyone on the server Local Blue Only players within the configured radius Admin Red Only configured admins Mention Gold The mentioned player, highlighted on their screen Requirements NoobChat has no external mod dependencies — it only needs the base game (Game, World and Mission modules). Add it to your mod line and it works. Installation (Server) Subscribe to NoobChat. Add the mod to your server's mod line, e.g. @NoobChat. Start the server once. A default config file is generated automatically at: profiles/NoobMods/NoobChat/Config.json Edit the config (see below), then restart the server. Configuration The config file is created on first launch at profiles/NoobMods/NoobChat/Config.json: { "localRadius": 50.0, "rateCooldown": 1.5, "maxLength": 256, "wordFilterOn": 1, "banned": [], "admins": [], "loggingOn": 1 }

modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 2 live servers in the crawl publish it.
The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
