Current Version: 1.0 🔄 Client-Side Mod FoXyHotbar runs as -mod= on your server — players just subscribe on the Workshop and they're done. It's a personal quality-of-life tool that runs entirely on your own client and works on any server. What is FoXyHotbar? When you die in DayZ and get your gear back, your hotbar comes back empty — every quickbar slot you set up is gone, and you're left dragging each item back into place while the loot is still warm and the bullets are still flying. FoXyHotbar fixes that. Set up your hotbar, click Save, and after you recover your gear click Load — every slot snaps right back where it was. That's it. 💾 Save & Load • Open the menu with a single key (NumPad2 by default, fully rebindable) • Save captures your current hotbar layout • Load puts every item back into its slot • On-screen confirmation toast plus an in-menu status line every time 🎒 Works After ANY Death FoXyHotbar only looks at what's in your inventory right now — it doesn't care how the items got there. That makes it completely mod-agnostic: • Looting your own body • Bodybags • DayZ Expansion • Vanilla • Even the same items picked up somewhere else entirely If the gear is on you, Load will sort your hotbar out. 🖥️ Per-Server Layouts Play on more than one server? Each server remembers its own hotbar. Saving on one server never overwrites another — FoXyHotbar automatically keeps a separate layout per server, all in one tidy file. 🔁 Re-Runnable Load Only got some of your gear back? Load restores everything it can find and tells you exactly what's missing. Recover the rest and press Load again to fill the gaps — press it as often as you like. 🌍 14 Languages Fully localised: EN, CS, DE, RU, PL, HU, IT, ES, FR, ZH-TW, JA, PT, ZH-CN + keys. Good to Know • Matching is by item type — two identical items restore in inventory order (looks the same anyway, since they're identical) • Slots that need extra quickbar space from a vest or clothing fill in once that gear is back on — just press Load again • DayZ already restores your hotbar after a normal relog; FoXyHotbar covers what it doesn't — dying and re-gearing from other sources No Dependencies Uses only vanilla DayZ quickbar and inventory functions — no required mods, safe across updates, and friendly with Expansion and everything else. Configuration Save data: $profile:\FoXyMods\FoXyHotbar.json (client-side, in your own profile) Logs: $profile:\FoXyMods\Logs\FoXyHotbar.log No config to edit — it just works out of the box.
