Kryden Vanilla Base Building A Kryden product. Full 3D control over your base building — without leaving vanilla. Kryden Vanilla Base Building (KVBB) extends DayZ's construction system so you can rotate, tilt and raise your pieces exactly where you want, with a custom preview hologram and a clean HUD guiding every step. Why it was made Vanilla base building is rigid: pieces snap flat to the terrain, with no free rotation, no height adjustment, and they lock up on any slope. Anyone who has tried to close off a base on uneven ground knows the pain. KVBB was built to fix that without breaking the feel of the game: the core is the same vanilla FenceKit, only now it obeys you — free rotation, height and angle. And for the cases where a piece ends up high or steeply angled, V1 adds the KVBB Stair: a dedicated item you place with the same 3D control and use to climb up and build. A lightweight mod, made to run smooth on any server. What the mod does Free 3D rotation — rotate in yaw, pitch and roll. Place fences tilted, on ramps, at any angle. Height adjustment — raise and lower the piece freely, no longer stuck to the ground. Toggleable snap — stick to the terrain when you want, float free when you don't. Pin in place — lock the hologram and walk around it to check the angle before you build. Precision mode — switch to fine rotation and height steps for millimeter-perfect finishing. Custom 3D hologram — Kryden's own preview, with the option to fall back to the vanilla hologram whenever you want. On-screen HUD — control legend and live values on screen while you place. Place anywhere — without the vanilla angle/collision block getting in the way of placement. Mouse-wheel rotation — adjust the active axis by scrolling the wheel, the way your hand already expects (the arrow keys still work too). KVBB Stair — a dedicated item in two heights (1m and 2m) to climb up and build where a piece sits high or angled. A single kit places both: you switch the size before deploying, and fold it back with one action. Gate reachable from farther away — with rotations pushing the piece out, opening/closing the fence gate no longer gets cut off by distance. The kit comes back to you — when you build the fence base, the FenceKit drops at your feet instead of at a fixed point on the structure. Version 1: FenceKit (full 3D control) + KVBB Stair. The Watchtower is on the roadmap. Controls R — cycle the active axis (yaw → pitch → roll → height) ← / → or Mouse Wheel — adjust the active axis Shift + T — toggle ground snap on/off Shift + X — pin/unpin the hologram in place Shift + Z — toggle precision mode (fine step) Build / Cancel — through vanilla's own deploy action (hold to build / Esc) Stair (interaction-menu actions): Toggle Stair Size — with the kit in hand (before placing), switch between 1m and 2m Fold Stair — fold the stair back into the kit Configuration — settings.json The mod generates a configuration file automatically the first time it runs. You don't need to create anything by hand: join the game once with the mod enabled and the file appears with default values. Where it lives: in the DayZ profile folder, under KrydenVanillaBaseBuilding\Config\settings.json. On the client it's usually Documents\DayZ, on the server, the folder passed in -profiles=. Deleted it? It gets recreated with defaults. Full file (default values): { "useCustomHologram": 1, "rotationStepDeg": 5.0, "rotationStepFineDeg": 1.0, "heightStepM": 0.25,

modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 5 live servers in the crawl publish it.

The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
