EAI Open Inventory First Have you ever tried to open your recruited Expansion AI companion’s inventory, only for the AI to move slightly and suddenly the default action becomes Dismiss? Yeah. That annoyed me too. You should not accidentally dismiss your companion just because the interaction menu picked the wrong default action at the wrong moment. This is a very small quality-of-life mod for DayZ Expansion AI / EAI companions. It changes the interaction order so that Open inventory becomes the default action when looking at a recruited EAI companion, while Dismiss remains available as a secondary action. Requirements This mod requires DayZ Expansion AI or an Expansion package that includes Expansion AI. Installation Load this mod after Expansion AI / Expansion Bundle. Example: -mod=@CF;@DayZ-Expansion-Core;@DayZ-Expansion-AI;@EAIOpenInventoryFirst Or, if using Expansion Bundle: -mod=@CF;@DayZ-Expansion-Licensed;@DayZ-Expansion-Bundle;@EAIOpenInventoryFirst Notes This is a small client/server script mod. Both the client and server should load it. It only adjusts the interaction priority for recruited Expansion AI companions. Other inventories, containers, vehicles, players, and normal DayZ interactions are not intentionally changed. Simple. Comfortable. No more accidental dismiss. No repacks allowed. Unpacking is allowed for learning and reference purposes only. Re-uploading, redistributing, repacking, or publishing modified versions is not allowed without permission. Honestly, I think Expansion would feel better if Open inventory came before Dismiss by default. Most of the time, players just want to check their companion’s gear. Dismissing a companion is a bigger consequence, so it feels odd to have it as the first option.
