NOTE: This mod is currently in beta, the server-side configuration options may change in future updates. Configurable Cannibalism This mod is a complete overhaul to the original mechanics around cannibalism and brain disease (aka kuru) in the base game. Server owners can completely customize all aspects of the mod through a server-side configuration file. Whether you want to simply remove certain symptoms or whether you want to create a complex addiction mechanic, you’re free to choose how much or how little of this mod’s features you use. Spun out from the DayzUnderground mod, this mod is completely standalone, although does have some (optional) integrations with the main DUG mod. Features This mod is fully configurable by server owners, so the exact mechanics and thresholds depend on the server you’re playing on. Each feature is optional and can be configured but the full set of features supported by this mod is follows: Progressive Symptoms and Disease Stages Server owners can add additional stages to the disease, enabling or disabling symptoms like laughter or twitching, making them more frequent or severe as the player’s disease worsens. They can also increase or decrease the time it takes for kuru to show up, No Inevitable Onset Kuru doesn't have to be inevitable. You can configure brain germs to not grow passively, a single nibble doesn't have to doom you but if you indulge too much and you might start to laugh a little and might find yourself looking for ways to relieve your symptoms... Symptom Management Kuru still can’t be cured but you can configure various symptom management strategies, painkillers or morphine can reduce or even hide your symptoms… as can indulging your taste for human meat, buying you time but accelerating the disease. Try not to find yourself addicted to man meat, or maybe that's what you want? On servers running the main DayzUnderground mod, players can also smoke tobacco or cannabis to gain temporary symptom relief. No HUD Icon: Server owners can disable the HUD disease icon, forcing you to rely entirely on physical symptoms to diagnose the illness. Harvest the Living: Players can cut chunks of flesh from other living players, potentially inflicting blood and health loss alongside a nasty debuff. If you’re feeling generous you might even decide to disinfect your knife before hacking away. Of course, cutting flesh off a living player means there’s less meat for you to eat if you do go too far and they don’t survive… Headshot For More Meat Just like when you hunt an elk, you’re rewarded for a well aimed head shot by getting the maximum number of steaks. Maybe don’t dump a full drum mag into someone if you want to eat them afterwards? Older Players Taste Better Want to disincentivize wipe-day cannibals or freshie hunting? Fresh spawns won’t give you a lot of food but hunting a long-lived survivor can get you the best yield. How much meat you get scales with the player’s time survived. High risk, high reward. Optional Mod Integration DayzUnderground Items from the main DayzUnderground mod are required for tobacco and cannabis related symptom relief features. Without this mod, these features (and their configuration) are not present. Additional mod integrations might be considered in the future but for now only cigarettes and joints from the main DUG mod are supported. Community Framework Required for the harvested debuff to be persistent for players, without this mod the harvested debuff will be removed when the player logs out. Adding it to persistence would require a character wipe if this mod was removed, so we use CF’s ModStorage feature to make sur

modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 3 live servers in the crawl publish it.

The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
