Zellno Prison Bear Zellno Prison Bear is a lightweight configuration and script modification for DayZ that provides an independent, resilient variant of the vanilla brown bear. It was designed for controlled encounters, particularly around the Black Market area on Prison Island in Chernarus. Classname Animal_UrsusArctos_ZellnoPrison Features Independent classname derived from the vanilla brown bear. Does not modify vanilla bears globally. Vanilla model, textures, animations, sounds and AI. Vanilla movement and attacks. Six independent skinning-product classnames. Vanilla skinning quantities, item models and inherited behavior. Global Health: 15,000. Global Blood: 50,000. Global Shock: 5,000. Immune to vehicle-collision damage identified by DayZ as TransportHit. Firearms and all other non-transport damage remain enabled. Physical collision reactions and displacement may still occur. Optional Salmonella behavior configured through the server profile. No custom models, textures, sounds or third-party assets. Vehicle-Collision Protection The custom bear ignores damage identified by DayZ as TransportHit. This prevents vehicles from killing it by repeatedly running it over. This protection applies only to the custom classname. Vanilla bears are not modified and remain vulnerable to vehicle collisions. The Prison Bear is not immortal. Firearms, melee attacks and other non-transport damage sources continue to work normally. Custom Skinning Products Skinning the Prison Bear produces these independent classnames: ZellnoPrisonBear_Headdress ZellnoPrisonBear_Pelt ZellnoPrisonBear_SteakMeat ZellnoPrisonBear_Lard ZellnoPrisonBear_Guts ZellnoPrisonBear_Bone These products inherit their corresponding vanilla DayZ items. They retain the vanilla models, skinning quantities and inherited behavior while remaining distinguishable from ordinary vanilla bear resources. Server Configuration On first successful server initialization, the mod creates: $profile:ZellnoPrisonBear/settings.json Default configuration: { "ConfigVersion": 1, "SalmonellaEnabled": 1 } SalmonellaEnabled: 1 preserves the vanilla Salmonella behavior. SalmonellaEnabled: 0 removes Salmonella from newly obtained Prison Bear products and sets the custom bear's bloody-hands Salmonella chance to zero. Only values 0 and 1 are accepted. Restart the server after changing the file. This setting affects only the custom Prison Bear and its custom products. It does not modify vanilla animals or vanilla items globally, and it does not provide immunity against unrelated DayZ illnesses. Requirements DayZ. The mod must be loaded by both the server and connecting clients. No additional mod dependencies. PvZmoD Spawn System is not a dependency. The classname can be spawned with VPPAdminTools, mission scripts or compatible event and spawn systems. PvZmoD The Dark Horde and PvZmoD Customisable Zombies are not required. Static-spawn coordinates are intentionally not included because navigation, containment and balance depend on each server's environment. Installation Add Zellno Prison Bear to the client-visible server mod list and copy the included public key to the server's keys directory. No wipe or mission reset is required. modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 1 live server in the crawl publishes it.
The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
