Zellno Vanilla Hill Assist Improves the hill-climbing performance of vanilla DayZ vehicles while preserving the individual character of each vehicle. Supported vehicles M3S Covered Ada 4x4 Olga 24 Sarka 120 Gunter 2 Humvee Features Better performance on steep roads Individual tuning for every supported vehicle More useful low- and medium-RPM torque Vanilla drivetrain identity preserved Vanilla sound assets retained No scripts No custom models or textures No economy wipe required The mod was tested vehicle by vehicle on a steep official homologation route leaving Mogilevka in Chernarus. Existing vanilla vehicles are affected after the mod is loaded. Vehicles do not need to be respawned. Installation This mod must be loaded by both the server and connecting players. Copy the included public key to the server keys directory and add: @ZellnoVanillaHillAssist to the server mod list. Compatibility Version 0.1.1 was audited and tested against DayZ 1.30 on October 17, 2026. No incompatibilities were found. DayZ 1.30 adds slopeCoef = 0.75 to the vanilla M3S throttle configuration. Zellno Vanilla Hill Assist does not overwrite this property, so the official value remains active. The M3S may therefore have slightly better uphill response in DayZ 1.30 than it had in DayZ 1.29. During DayZ 1.30 testing, stationary vehicle oscillation was observed on vanilla and CarPack vehicles, including with engines switched off. The same behavior was reproduced without Zellno Vanilla Hill Assist loaded. Therefore, the observed oscillation is not caused by this mod. Mods that overwrite the same vanilla vehicle engine, clutch, gearbox or SimulationModule properties may conflict. CarPack vehicle classes are not modified. The new vanilla Jana 50 and Bitrak 682 motorcycles introduced with DayZ 1.30 are not modified by version 0.1.1. modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 1 live server in the crawl publishes it.

The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
