They Can Hear You – Searchable Furniture English first / Français plus bas ENGLISH Search every cupboard, wardrobe, oven, fridge, locker and bookshelf in every building of the map. Loot is random and logical... but every drawer you open makes noise. And they can hear you. Features Search any storage furniture of vanilla buildings: cabinets, ovens, fridges, wardrobes, desks, bookshelves, lockers, crates, vending machines... Quick search (3 s, louder, more empty furniture) or thorough search (10 s, quieter, more items). The action shows the name of the furniture you aim at. Force wooden crates open with a crowbar (8 s): twice as loud, but more items. Empty hands, tool or lowered weapon. Precise aiming based on the real shape of each piece of furniture, even inside tents. Loot opens in the vanilla inventory. Contents are shared: the next player finds what you left. Loot based on YOUR server economy: your types.xml and every types file in cfgeconomycore.xml are read, so items from your other mods are used automatically. The building comes first: hospitals give medical items, barracks military gear, police stations police gear. In ordinary houses, the furniture decides (food in fridges, clothes in wardrobes...). Real rarity areas of the game (Tier1 coast to Tier4 military bases), built in for Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal. Higher tiers: fewer empty furniture, more items, better condition. Random condition and quantity: bottles, canteens, batteries and ammo are not always full. Military and police lockers: a chance of ammo or magazines, and rarely a weapon. Noise attracts the infected: noise gauge on screen (quick search +25 %, thorough +15 %, crowbar +50 %), quieter when crouching, random accidents. Nearby players hear you too. Full gauge = an infected screams (male or female voice) and every infected around comes for you. Infected knock on closed doors: hide inside, they hit the door (it never gives way by default) and the noise brings more of them. No searching right after taking damage (10 s). Sounds based on the material of the furniture. Refill after 1 hour (configurable) and after a restart. Anti relog-looting (90 s, not after a death). Admin log of every search. Debug inspector for admins (DebugMode). Fully configurable through JSON files (yes / no = 1 / 0). English and French texts. No dependency. Tested with DayZ Expansion. Installation (server) Add the mod to client and server (-mod=, not -serverMod) and copy the .bikey into your server keys folder. First start: the server scans every building once (a few minutes). Wait for Scan ready in the script log. Settings: profiles/TheyCanHearYou/. Stop the server before editing. Linux: mod folder, files and the name in your launch parameters in lowercase (@theycanhearyou). Updating: your settings files are updated automatically, your values are kept. Nothing to delete. Good to know Community maps: no automatic rarity areas (the game cannot read their area file). You can draw your own areas in Loot_Zones.json. Furniture added by mapping cannot be searched. Door knocks turn off by themselves if Zen's Zombie Door Bangers, InediaInfectedAI or PvZ is installed.

modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 9 live servers in the crawl publish it.

The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
