Camera Aim Sync Fix
Camera Aim Sync Fix Fixes the vanilla DayZ bug where your camera slowly drifts away from where your character is actually pointing the gun. Camera Aim Sync Fix Fixes the vanilla DayZ bug where your camera slowly drifts away from where your character is actually pointing the gun. The problem In vanilla, the camera's up/down angle and the character's aim angle are two separate values, and the game never re-aligns them while your weapon is raised. The character's aim is clamped by the body and the animations (lying on your back, obstacles, stance changes). The camera is not. After a while the two no longer match, and you get: Aiming down sights snaps your view up to the sky or down to the ground. Your crosshair and your barrel point at different things. Other players see your character firing in a different direction than you do. What this mod does While your weapon is raised, the camera is smoothly pulled back to your character's real aim angle. The gun and the view stay lined up, and ADS brings the sights up where you were already looking. Smooth correction, no snapping or jitter. Differences under 1 degree are ignored. Only active with a raised weapon in hands. Freelook (Alt), tracking, lowered weapons, unconscious and dead players are left untouched. Respects the game's own look limits (prone, vehicles, actions). Up/down only. Your horizontal aim is never touched. Installation Server-side only: add @CamerAimSyncFix to your -serverMod= line No dependencies (no Community Framework or Dabs Framework needed). Compatibility Works with any mod that does not replace the vanilla camera's up/down angle logic. Mods that override DayZPlayerCameraBase.UpdateUDAngleUnlocked may conflict. modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 5 live servers in the crawl publish it.
The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
