Minor Clothing Dirt System Survival gets dirty. Keep your gear—and your medical supplies—clean. Minor Clothing Dirt System adds persistent clothing dirt and optional medical-item hygiene to DayZ. Crawling, bleeding and damaged clothing contribute to dirt buildup, while rain, washing and boiling help you manage it. Designed as a subtle survival addition, the system lets players inspect item hygiene and gives server owners control over cleaning rates, dirt sources and optional consequences. Features Persistent dirt values stored on tracked items. Clothing dirt from crawling, bleeding and damaged condition. Gradual rain cleaning while exposed to the sky. Optional random dirt levels on newly spawned clothing and medical items. Inspect Dirt / Hygiene action. Optional Dusty, Dirty and Filthy item-name labels. Water washing and hot-water boil cleaning. Optional medical-item hygiene and wound-infection risk. Configurable tracking filters, exclusions and cleaning settings. Inspect, Wash & Boil Inspect: Check a tracked item’s hygiene condition using Inspect Dirt / Hygiene. Wash: Hold a tracked item and target a valid water surface to wash it. Washing removes dirt over time and makes clothing wet. Very dirty items may require repeated washes. Boil: Hold a tracked item and target a water-containing item that meets the configured temperature requirement. By default, boiling requires water at least 95°C. Medical items can be fully sterilised when that option is enabled. Medical Hygiene Optional medical tracking covers configured items such as rags, bandages and sewing kits. Using a sufficiently dirty tracked item for bandaging can carry a configurable chance of introducing wound-infection agent. Dirty items do not guarantee an infection—the risk is rolled when they are used. Wash or boil your medical supplies before treating wounds. Subtle by Design Dirt is tracked separately from DayZ’s Pristine, Worn, Damaged and Ruined item condition. The default presentation uses inspection text and optional item-name labels. This mod does not provide automatic muddy textures for every clothing item. Custom material visuals require compatible, model-specific support. Installation & Configuration Install the mod on both the server and clients. Start the server once to generate the live settings file: profiles/ZombicideMods/MinorClothingDirtSystem/Settings.json Edit this file and restart the server to apply changes. Server owners can configure dirt buildup, rain cleaning, washing and boiling, medical infection chances, random spawn condition, tracked item types and display thresholds. Use the settings generated by your running server. Back up existing settings before upgrading, as older versioned configurations may be migrated. Support, Updates & Suggestions Need help with setup?
