HAIL STORM Find a roof. Wear a helmet. Watch your windscreen. The sky goes dark, the wind picks up, and somewhere upwind you hear a rattle getting louder. You have about a minute. Wombat Hail Storm adds sudden hail storms that drift across the map with the wind. Ice the size of golf balls hammers the ground, roofs and cars around you, and anyone caught in the open gets hurt. The Storm It comes to you - a storm is a moving cell about 2.4km across. It drifts with the wind and is aimed to pass right over a player, so it always arrives from upwind. You get a warning - for about 60 seconds before the ice starts, the sky darkens, the wind picks up and you hear the storm coming. Anyone close enough to hear it gets a "Hail storm" notification. Then it hits - 1.5 to 4 minutes of hail and heavy rain. It builds up, peaks, then dies away. Near the edge of the storm it's lighter. It sounds different depending on where you shelter - ice cracking on the ground in the open, a drumming roof indoors, metal clanking on the roof of your car. Cloudy days only - storms only start when the sky is already overcast, and never closer than 45 minutes apart (both configurable). See It Fall Real falling hail - white hailstones streak down around you, slanted by the wind, and bounce where they land: on the ground, on roofs, on cars. It piles up - landed hailstones lie on the ground for up to a minute and a half, then melt away. A long storm leaves the ground covered. From indoors you only see it through the windows and doors, as you should. Getting Hit Only in the open - under a roof or inside a vehicle you're safe. Head hits hurt more - a helmet blocks them completely, any other hat halves them. A backpack takes some of the hits on your back. It wears your gear - the helmet, hat or backpack that blocks a hit takes a little damage. Standing out in a full storm without a helmet costs a fair chunk of health. Damage, shock and hit chance are all configurable. Pick It Up Every hailstone on the ground can be picked up - look at one and press F. It goes into your inventory as a real Hailstone. Drink it - eat it in small bites for a little water. It melts - about 15 minutes on a mild day, slower in the cold, twice as fast in your pocket. A few hailstones also land around players that everyone can see and collect. Collateral Damage Cars - parked out in the open, windows crack and eventually break. Get it under a roof. Gardens - young plants in outdoor gardens can get shredded. Greenhouses protect them, and ripe plants survive. Admin Tools Admin list - add Steam64 IDs to the config. /hail - storm status: phase, time left, strength, position. /hail start [strength 0-1] - send a storm at yourself, with the normal warning. /hail here [strength 0-1] - a storm right on top of you after 3 seconds. Good for testing. /hail stop - the current storm dies away. /hail reload - re-read the config and send it to all players, no restart needed. Server Setup Load the mod on both server and clients (-mod=, not -servermod). It adds items, sounds and effects, so clients need it too. types.xml (optional) - the mod ships with types_WombatHailStorm.xml for the Hailstone items. They're only ever spawned by storms and melt away on their own, so this is just a safety net. Server Config Everything is adjustable without repacking the mod. On first run it creates: <mission folder>\Wombat Mod Configs\WombatHail

modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 5 live servers in the crawl publish it.

The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
