ModernVault Close a container and its contents leave the map. Open it and everything comes back where it was. A base full of storage costs your server far fewer live items. No dependencies. No Community Framework, no Expansion. Vanilla DayZ and this. Runs on 1.29 and 1.30. One download for both. Close stores, open restores. Wooden crates and sea chests get Open and Close actions; barrels and modded lockers use their own lids. A closed container refuses items, so loot-helper mods cannot fill it either. One left open closes itself after two minutes with nobody near it. Code locks and other attachments stay on. Covers the storage your players already build. Vanilla crates, sea chests and barrels, plus RaG BaseItems, MMG Base Storage, Skaerheim Log Cabin, Paragon Storage, DayZ Expansion base building, Solitude Storage Mod (wardrobes and mannequins included) and Boomlay's Things - each only when that mod is loaded. Load order does not matter. Another storage mod can be added with one line in the settings. Nothing goes missing quietly. Remove a mod and the items it added cannot come back - but they are never dropped on the floor and never just vanish. Each one is listed under the player's Steam ID, the original record is kept, and the rest of the container comes back as normal. A report at startup names every container that will be affected before anyone logs in. Crash-safe. A server that crashes or is killed in the middle of storing or unpacking a container settles it at the next boot: the half-done work is finished or undone, so the gear is neither lost nor doubled. Easy on the server. Storing and unpacking run in the background, a slice of each server frame, so a base of lockers never stores in one go. How big a slice is a setting. Food keeps ageing. Stored food goes off as it would have in the container, by server running time. In a RaG fridge it ages slowly while the fridge is powered and closed. Switch it off and items come back exactly as stored. Leaves cleanly. One setting restores every stored container into itself in the background and tells you when it is safe to remove the mod. Coming from Virtual Storage Module? ModernVault VSM Importer, a separate server-only item, puts everything VSM stored back into its containers so ModernVault can take over. Do not use VSM's own uninstall. Everything in it Stores the contents of closed containers off the map, restores them on open Open and Close actions for crates and sea chests Auto-close for containers left open, with time and distance settings Vanilla plus seven storage mods covered; add or exclude classes in the settings Removed-mod items listed for compensation per player, never dropped or lost silently A boot report naming affected containers before players find out Crash and kill recovery at the next boot Background storing, budgeted per server frame Food ageing while stored, fridges included Every player message replaceable with your own wording Its own log file, one per boot, the last 11 kept A safe uninstall that restores everything first A separate importer for servers moving from VSM Settings, covered mods, removing mods and the VSM switch are documented in the docs folder that comes with the mod. modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 10 live servers in the crawl publish it.
The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
