Northwind Inventory Search

Find the item. Keep playing. A small inventory search mod for DayZ. Open your inventory, type what you need, and matching items light up in gold. Keep the same search while checking your storage containers. Search items and ammunition Search item names or class names: screwdriver, nails, bandage... Find loose rounds, ammo boxes and compatible magazines by calibre. Flexible spelling: 9mm, 9 mm and 9 x 19; 5.56, 556 and 5.56 x 45 mm. Combine terms, such as 308 tracer, to narrow your search. Matching items are highlighted. Everything else stays visible and usable. Your search stays in place when you close and reopen inventory during the same session. How to use Press Tab to open inventory. Click the search field at the top and type. Open a nearby container to search the contents shown in its inventory panel. Click Clear to remove the highlights. Enter leaves the text field; Tab or Escape closes inventory even while typing. This highlights items the normal inventory UI displays. It does not reveal contents of distant, inaccessible or unopened storage, and it does not move or sort items. Server installation Subscribe, then copy the Workshop mod folder to your server as @NorthwindInventorySearch. Copy keys/northwind_inventory_search.bikey into the server's keys folder. Add @NorthwindInventorySearch to your existing -mod= launch parameter. Load it on both the server and clients, not just in -serverMod=. Restart your server. Players can load the mod through the DayZ launcher when joining. No CF, Expansion or other Workshop dependencies. No economy changes, server configuration file or wipe required. Signed PBO and public server key included. Free to use on your community server. Compatibility Designed for the standard DayZ inventory. Modded items can match their names, class names and ammo configuration. Inventory replacement mods may need a compatibility patch. When the full Northwind server mod is loaded, this standalone version steps aside because that mod already includes inventory search.
