A Beautiful Fuel Fix

Vehicle Fuel Fix (DayZ 1.30) Fixes the DayZ 1.30 bug where cars, motorbikes and boats lose their fuel, coolant, oil and brake fluid after a server restart. This is not an "infinite fuel" mod. Vehicle Fuel Fix (DayZ 1.30) Fixes the DayZ 1.30 bug where cars, motorbikes and boats lose their fuel, coolant, oil and brake fluid after a server restart. This is not an "infinite fuel" mod. Vehicles still use fuel, leak and run dry as normal. It only stops the game from saving the wrong amounts. What goes wrong in 1.30 The fluid amount the game saves is only kept up to date while someone is driving the vehicle or sitting in the driver seat. The real amounts are fine, but the saved value can be wrong in two ways: Emptied: a vehicle that loads or spawns without anyone driving it reads 0 for every fluid. At the next save it really is empty. Refuel lost: a vehicle refuelled (or topped up with coolant) while parked keeps the old amount. After the next restart the refuel is gone. It happens on every map. It's why parked vehicles randomly come back empty, and why freshly spawned map vehicles have nothing in them. What this mod does Keeps a small record of each vehicle's real fluid amounts next to the server's save, in profiles/Nasdara_VehicleFuelFix/. When a vehicle loads with exactly the wrong amount the game saved (or nothing), puts the real amounts back. Vehicles changed by admin tools or other mods between restarts are left alone. Refuelling a parked vehicle works from its real amount, not the out-of-date one. Nothing is added to the vehicles' own save data, so you can add it to or remove it from a running server at any time. Installation Server-side only. Players don't need to download it. Add it to your server with -servermod=@Nasdara_VehicleFuelFix. No config and no types.xml changes are needed. Tested on Chernarus, Livonia, Sakhal, Nasdara and Bitterroot, on DayZ 1.30. Every vehicle saved with the wrong amount was restored. It isn't tied to any map, so it should work on any map. Good to know Fluids lost before the mod was installed can't be recovered. A vehicle is protected from its first save with the mod running. Each restore is logged in the server script log as [Nasdara_VehicleFuelFix] restored <vehicle> @<position> .... A summary line appears after startup. Please include these lines with any bug report. A gauge can show the old value until someone sits in the driver seat. The real amounts are correct either way. Community & Support Questions, bug reports or ideas? modperf has not read this mod's scripts, so there is no report and it is left out of any stack it appears in. 39 live servers in the crawl publish it.

The worker downloads the mod from the Workshop and reads its Enforce Script — nothing is executed. Usually a few minutes. This page then shows the report.
