What Is This? RZZ Ice Pack adds a single-use cooling pack to help survivors manage the desert heat of Nasdara. Working as the cold counterpart to a vanilla heat pack, it helps reduce your heat comfort when activated and carried directly in your jacket or trousers. Simply hold the pack, select Activate, then place it in your clothing for approximately 20 minutes of cooling. Features Helps cool your character in hot conditions Approximately 20 minutes of cooling per pack Custom blue-and-white RZZ Ice Pack packaging Simple activation using the familiar heat-pack action Uses DayZ’s existing item-temperature system Single-use—becomes ruined when exhausted Normal vanilla heat packs remain available No additional mod dependencies Cooling tested on Nasdara Example loot economy entry included in the Extras folder Keep an eye on your temperature. Continued use can make you too cold. Remove the active pack from your clothing when you have cooled sufficiently. Clothing insulation, weather and other heat sources affect the overall result. Installation Install like most mods: subscribe, add the bikey key, and add @RZZ_IcePack to your mod list. Required on both the server and connecting clients. Add it to -mod=, not just -servermod=. Natural Loot Spawning Installing the mod alone does not enable natural spawning. An example types.xml is included in the mod’s Extras folder. Open Extras\types.xml Copy the complete RZZ_IcePack entry, from its opening <type name="RZZ_IcePack"> tag through its closing </type> tag Paste it into your mission’s existing db\types.xml, immediately before the final </types> tag Save the file and restart your server Do not replace your server’s full types.xml with the example file, and do not copy the outer <types> tags. The example uses the same loot settings as the vanilla Chernarus heat pack: Nominal: 50 Minimum: 30 Lifetime: 14,400 seconds Restock: 0 Category: tools Usage: Hunting Tag: shelves Server owners can adjust these values and locations to suit their map and loot balance. Packs populate through the loot economy over time rather than appearing everywhere immediately.
