In memory of RedFalcon RedFalcon built the Mosquito Mk III and gave it to the whole DayZ community for free, alongside his RedFalcon Flight System. His little Mosquito has carried players across countless servers and gave DayZ something it never had: the sky. He is no longer with us, and his mods can no longer be updated. This small fix exists for one reason: so his work keeps flying. Every model and every line of the Mosquito is his. All credit belongs to him. Thank you, RedFalcon. Fly high. What this fixes Since DayZ 1.30, the Mosquito spins uncontrollably on start-up, while taxiing, hovering and landing, and twitches while a player is aboard. The spin. DayZ 1.30 now returns invalid numbers from a maths function that the Mosquito's "weather-vane" turn relies on whenever it is slower than 10 m/s. This mod sets that turn to zero below 20 m/s, exactly as it behaved before 1.30. The twitch. The Mosquito rides on 4 hidden car wheels, and on 1.30's tyre physics they jitter under a player. This mod stops new Mosquitos getting them and takes them off existing ones. Everything else in the Mosquito runs unchanged. Tested on DayZ 1.30: the spin is gone and the hidden wheels come off. Install Requires RedFalcon Mosquito Mk III. Load it on the server and the clients alongside RedFalcon Mosquito Mk III. Copy the key from the keys folder to your server's keys folder. Notes RedFalcon's mod is not repacked or changed in any way. This is a small separate patch. The Mosquito is a separate mod from the RedFalcon Flight System, so it needs its own fix. For the LittleBird, UH1H and the other RFFS helicopters, use Aussiecrayz RFFS 1.30 Fix. Run both if you have both. Free for anyone to use on any server.
