Each dot is one scripted mod modperf has analyzed: across, how much server main-thread time its structure costs; up, how many Steam users subscribe to it today. The question it answers: are the mods most people run heavier than the rest?
Popularity is not lag, and neither is this axis.
Structural load counts how often a mod's hooks fire and how many timers stay alive, not what the code inside them does: the heaviest structure is not the laggiest mod.
Subscribers count players and server owners alike and do not say how many servers run a mod.
A dot far to the right is a reason to read that mod's report, not a verdict on it.
Popularity and structural load are unrelated here: a widely used mod is as likely to be light as heavy. Rank correlation +0.00 across 325 mods.
